How do I save a place?

Open Search, look the place up, and tap Save. You don't need to add anyone to it — a place with no regulars attached is perfectly normal and stays saved until you remove it yourself.

What is a Memory?

A Memory is one visit to a place. Tap Add Memory to record a note and attach a photo — what you ordered, who you were with, which table to ask for next time. Every memory for a place is kept under Memories on that place's screen.

How do trips and itineraries work?

Create a trip in the Trips tab with a start and end date. Any memory you record inside that window is grouped under the trip automatically, so a day-by-day itinerary builds itself as you go. You can also add a trip after you get home — Tally backfills anything already recorded in the date range. Tap Email Itinerary to send a formatted copy, with your notes and photos, to anyone you traveled with.

Can I hide a visit from an itinerary?

Yes. Open the memory, tick "Exclude from itinerary", and it stays in your history but is left out of the itinerary view and the emailed report. Automatic arrival and departure entries are always excluded.

How do I back up or move my data to a new phone?

Go to Settings → Export Data to save everything — places, memories, regulars, trips, and photos — into a single file. On the other device, use Import Data and pick that file. Import merges into whatever is already there rather than replacing it, so nothing you've recorded since the export is lost, and importing the same file twice is harmless.

How do I add a regular?

Tap the add button, fill in their details (or import from your contacts), and optionally attach a photo so Tally can recognize them later. Regulars are entirely optional — Tally works fine as a places-and-memories app on its own.

How does the Identify (face) flow work?

Open Identify and point your camera at someone you've saved before. Tally matches the face against the photos you've stored, on your device, and shows you who they are along with your notes.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) — manage or cancel them from your Apple ID or Google Play account subscription settings.

How does presence sharing (Find Friends) work?

Verifying your phone number and letting friends see when you're checked in is always free. Premium unlocks the ability to see where your friends currently are — the person doing the finding pays, not the person being found.
