Tally Presence Verification

Program description

This program sends a one-time passcode (OTP) by SMS to verify a phone number when a user signs in to the presence-sharing feature of the Tally mobile app. Messages are sent only in direct response to a sign-in request initiated by the user — there is no recurring or marketing messaging.

How end users opt in

Opt-in happens entirely within the Tally mobile app. From a saved Regular's profile screen, the user taps "Set Up" under "Presence sharing," enters their own mobile phone number in the "Your phone number" dialog shown below, and taps "Send Code." Tapping "Send Code" is the sole, affirmative consent action — there is no pre-checked box, and this is the only opt-in method offered.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies. You will receive one SMS message per sign-in or verification request.
